<description_plain>The Filmhaus Kino is a blip of a cinema folded into the historic tourist area of Spittelberg. It lays opposite the Theatre Am Spittelberg and is slightly obstructed from the naked eye with the looming doors of the Lux cafe restaurant; despite its inconspicuous location, it's a gem of a find for those seeking locally produced flicks.

It helps that Stadtkino took it under its wing in 1994. Specialising in Austrian and international independent films, with only two shows at a time, Filmhaus Kino makes for an intimate and classy establishment, appeasing both those who ban megaplexes and pedestrians strolling on the outside cobblestone streets.</description_plain>
