The Viennale Zentrale is at the top floor of the Urania and is the mothership of the Viennale Film Festival. Open from 12:00 to 4:00 every day of the week-long cinematic explosion, you can gather here and reboot your energy for the next leg of marathon screenings. The Zentrale hosts discussions, lectures, readings and Q&A sessions with filmmakers. The venue is also home to a slew of other festival-related events like parties, concerts and DJ nights (occasionally with filmmakers at the turntables). Entrance to all events are free.

Mingle with Viennese and international film junkies (and maybe a celebrity or two) as you enjoy a great view over the city. Be warned: the density of cigarette smoke here can reach asphyxiating levels. With some luck, we might be blessed with ventilation during V’08, along with fantastic films.
