Schikaneder is a favorite drinking hole among the intellectual, penny-pinching, dive-lover in everyone, attracting a mixed crowd of students and “surviving-the-struggle” others.

There are two spaces; one with a small screening room showing independent and experimental films (in collaboration with Top Kino Cinema) and the other, a long narrow bar which opens out into a lounge area, with numerous old couches. Its dimly lit, late night atmosphere projects the image of a “grunge-y lounge.” DJs spin from Monday to Sunday, ranging in style per evening—from minimal techno to house to down tempo electronics.
