The long stretch of water known as Alte Donau came into being following the first Danube River regulation process in 1875. Swimming, rowing and sailing are just some of the perks in this lake-like environment, with its bays and little islands.
There is a large pebble beach which makes it perfect for children, as they can play safely at the edge of the shallow water. Behind the beach under massive shade trees, stretched out on the grass and wading on the sand, you can enjoy the sun and the clean, fresh water of the river.
