The purpose of sign09 is to bring together and inform those involved in the discipline, to offer education and networking opportunities and to improve awareness of the social and commercial importance of this often underestimated aspect of environmental design.
The programme will be of interest not only to those involved in producing design solutions e.g. designers, architects, human factors consultants, urban planners and developers and education and research institutes, but to organisations for whom effective signing is important to the success of their business and to the satisfaction of the people using their facilities.
Sign09 will be the first event of its kind to be held. It is a joint Austro-British enterprise and the organisers anticipate active engagement from designers, architects and manufacturers with the support from the British Council, the British Embassy in Vienna and the Austro British Chamber.
