 rio Neugebauer's double fascination with the arts and cars has led him down
  an interesting career path. Originally trained as an automobile manufactur
 er\, Neugebauer eventually forayed into the arts\, namely sound (he was res
 ponsible for breathing life back into the work of post-retired crooner Loui
 e Austen) and visual art (with a stint as a bodybuilder somewhere in betwee
 n).\n\n\n	His penchant for cars regularly influences his visual pieces. Abs
 tract\, languid brushstrokes of color vaguely trace outlines of various mod
 els while a mish-mash of collated objects (including car parts) highlight a
  division between art and functionality.\n\n\n	With a focus on speed and lu
 xury goods (as the exhibition's title suggests)\, Neugebauer creates worlds
  where the gleam of muscle cars and tire rims rival luxury handbags or watc
 hes in the status stakes.\n\n\n	Installations\, objects and large-format pa
