Michael Dürr has been working for over ten years for international fashion clients such as Palmers, Diesel, H & M and Levi. During this time he has photographed for numerous Austrian fashion labels such as Wendy & Jim, elf dress, Nina Peter, and Petar Petrov, the end products of which have graced the glossy pages of magazines such as Elle, Glamour, Self-service, Purple Journal, Sleek, Qvest and iD magazine.
“As in the movie and music businesses, it’s very important to be well networked with the best people in the fashion industry. Festivals and events such as the MQ-Fashion Week, the Festival for Fashion & Photography, or The Vienna Awards offer fashion photographers, stylists and fashion designers the chance to present their work to an international audience and to expand their network.”
For this year’s Cinema Photographique—Europe’s first cinema for fashion photography—Michael Dürr will showcase the work of a select group of foreign fashion photographers in full screen cinematic glory.
“Last year our interest for fashion photography and cinema drew such large crowds that we had to repeat the show six times!” says Dürr. “This year we are even planning an open air version of the exhibition with the working title: Photography under the stars.” A diverse range of “shooting stars” from both Germany and further afield are expected.
Preparations are in full swing.
