Medals have to be awarded to brave souls who are courageous enough to launch a magazine in these tough times. Or you should give them props at the very least. So when we heard of an upcoming, non-profit magazine hitting the stands, naturally our interest was piqued.

Bi-annual, Vienna-based glossy Unser Magazin is about to launch and we couldn’t help but get behind their call for submissions. With a decidedly open focus on editorial and artwork, very much in line with its title (“unser” being the German word for “our”), Unser Magazine takes a more collaborative than your average rag commandeered by cool-hunters in their ivory tower. For their first issue, they’re inviting people from any background to contribute stories, photos, illustrations, poems and the like—yep, that means YOU.
